In addition, Chamomile is known as being an ulcer-protective through its healing effect on the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. Please note that although Chamomile may help prevent ulcers it may not help heal them, see our Aloe Vera for healing properties for ulcers.

How to Administer

Dried herbs may be added directly to your horses dampened feed in their dry state. Alternatively, they may be made into an infusion (herbal tea) prior to use and the soaked herbs and liquid poured over the feed. By making an infusion prior to feeding, this is known to release more nutrients from the herbs and may increase the health benefits.
