It is to that vivid yellow-orange pigment (curcumin) that potent therapeutic properties of Turmeric are attributed. Our Turmeric contains a minimum of 5% curcumin whilst many other Turmeric options contain less than 3% or have had the curcumin removed. 

Curcumin is powerfully antioxidant (much more so than Vitamin C or E) and this ability to neutralise free radicals before they damage healthy cells and cell membranes, contribute to its role in preventing or alleviating an impressive array of conditions. This includes many cancers, arthritis, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disease, liver ailments and Alzheimer's.

Curcumin is fat soluble. It will be absorbed better by the body when consuming with a fatty substance. We recommended using Turmeric in conjunction with CEN Oil to receive the best possible results for joint and skin health for horses.

Dosage

25g per day/500kg horse 

25g = 2 tablespoons approximately 

Dogs: 1 teaspoon twice daily

Note: Make sure you buy high quality turmeric which has not had the curcumin removed (they use it to make pills and capsules then bulk up and on-sell the residue, which is next to worthless). Organic Turmeric is generally a safe bet as regulations prevent organic products being interfered with before sale. Our Turmeric is organic and has not had the curcumin removed.

We can offer a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) with the curcumin content declared of 5% if required.
